Pillow Finishing Style

All finishing styles include a cording, fabric backing, zipper, and poly-fil pillow.

Knife-Edge Finish

A sleek and simple finishing style where the front and back panels of the pillow are sewn together with a cording between. The edges are sharp and flat, giving the pillow a clean look.
Included in the price of the pillow.

Inset Larger Finish

Features a stylish border or frame effect that highlights your needlepoint design. The needlepoint is sewn into the center of the pillow with fabric surrounding it, creating a recessed or “inset” look.
Additional cost ($33)

Boxed Shape Finish

Features a structured, three-dimensional look with a defined edge. This style includes a fabric gusset (side panel) that runs around the pillow, typically ranging from 1 to 2 inches wide.

Pillow Finishing Features

Fabric Backing

We carry a variety of colors in the following fabric choices:

Suede Cloth
Duck Cloth (100% Cotton)
Moire Cloth

Cording

We cary a variety of single colored cording in two different sizes:

1/4 in. cord used for pillows 8x8 and larger
1/8 in. cord used for inset larger, boxed shaped, and pillows smaller than 8x8.

Self Cording

We use a piping (cording) around the edge of your pillow covered in the same fabric as the pillow backing.

Zipper

We use nylon zippers, in a color that compliments your pillow backing fabric color, that are centered about 1-2 in. from the bottom of your pillow.

On your finishing form under “Tapestry Information,” check the option for “Receive a photo of backing and cording color options from Cindy.”

After your piece arrives, Cindy will text or email photos of several options that coordinate with your needlepoint so you can select the combination you like best before finishing begins.
